This course is designed to train delegates in the safe use of cab controlled overhead travelling cranes as well as basic slinging techniques. It will make delegates aware of their legal responsibilities and take them through a safe system at work. It introduces them to the crane and lifting accessories in a way that is thorough yet easily understood and explains the importance of understanding and adhering to the Safe Working Load of all equipment involved with a lift.

A maximum of 4 delegates are permitted on each course.
• A classroom environment with table, chairs and electric sockets should be
available for theory.
• Calculators, pens and paper for delegates to work out load weights
• A range of appropriate lifting accessories in sound condition in date for thorough
examination as per LOLER regulations
• Electric Overhead Travelling Crane in safe working order and in date for thorough
examination as per LOLER regulations
• Safe practical training area
• Suitable loads to use during the training course

1.1) If making a course booking more than 2 weeks from enquiry a 50% non-refundable deposit is to be paid within 48 hours to confirm your course booking. The remaining balance will be due 2 weeks before commencement of the training. An invoice will be raised for the deposit amount upon receipt of the completed booking form.
1.2) If making a course booking less than 2 weeks from enquiry then 100% of the course fees are due to be paid within 48 hours to confirm your course booking.
1.3) If Derwent Training Association do not receive payment for the course booking within the time-frame then your date will be offered to another customer. If final payment is not received before the deadline, Derwent Training reserves the right to cancel the course and the remaining balance is to be paid by the customer.
1.4) For those delegates taking part in a course that requires final examination to gain certification, Derwent Training will not cover the costs of any resits required to pass the course. All resits are to be paid for by the customer. All certificates will be withheld by the training centre until payment has been received.
