ndustry-Standard Facilities for Real-World Success
Our training centre is a professional hub where theory meets technical mastery. Designed to mirror industrial settings, our site is split into specialist zones that bridge the gap between the classroom and the workshop.
We invest relentlessly in the tools our learners need to stay ahead of the curve. From our professional teaching areas and CAD computing suite to our cutting-edge hydraulic press with 2D/3D visualisation and CNC machine, we ensure you are training on the equipment that is currently shaping the future of industry.
The classrooms are equipped to allow apprentices to focus on the theoretical site of learning.
We are continually investing in new IT hardware, systems and software including the latest versions of AutoCAD and Siemens Programming.
The Mechatronics Workshop has an array of equipment to support our apprentices including a conveyor belt operated by PLCs, up-to-date Siemens Programming and electrical systems.
The Electronics Workshop allows learners to work on small and intricate electronic systems from breadboards and circuit boards. They also develop skills in wiring and soldering.
The Mechanical Workshop is a large practical facility that houses manual lathes and milling machines, CNC machines, and a hydraulic press amongst other equipment.
Additionally, there is range of equipment to develop hand fitting skills such as hammers, files, screw drivers, bandsaws and piranha cutters.
The Welding Workshop is split into 8 bays, and can develop different types of welding techniques – including Tungsten Inert Gas, Metal Inert Gas and Manual Metal Arc welding.
The Electrical Workshop allows learners to develop skills such as wiring and systems testing prior to systems going live. Split into individuals stations, the workshop allows for both teaching and individual practice.
You have access to a kitchenette where you can use facilities such as the microwave, fridge, kettle.
There is also a catering van next to the training centre, that serves hot and cold food. There are local cafes and supermarkets nearby in Malton.
