Your apprenticeship

Introduction

All apprenticeship Standards are based on national occupational standards.

Your training will take place at work (80%) and at Derwent Training (20%).

Your assessments and the End-Point Assessment will assess your knowledge, skills and behaviours for occupational competency.

To be clear you are training for, and assessed against, an occupational standard not solely what you do in your current job.

  • Turn up on time to work and your training day
  • Attend all your lessons
  • The Training Centre is a workplace and behaviour standards are that of a professional workplace. Please treat it as such

Read your apprenticeship Standard

You can access apprenticeship Standard on the Skills England webpage.

You will receive the assessment criteria for your assessments but the familiarising yourself with the Standard will help you look ahead and consider what evidence you could be collecting.

Support you will receive

You will be supported by your employer and by us.

As your apprenticeship is funded by the Government, we are responsible for your overall well being whilst on the programme.

We offer well being and learner support. Further information is available by the links.

During your programme you will take part in short briefings on topics ranging from gambling awareness, mental health awareness, online safety to civic responsibility and career progression.

Your views

To continually improve it is important to hear from you and your employer.

We run on-programme surveys twice a year to collect your feedback. We also ask for feedback after your induction and when you complete your apprenticeship. Employers are surveyed annually.  We use this feedback to benchmark our progress and learn what works for you and what could be improved.

You and your employer can contact us at anytime should you have concerns whilst on-programme.  In the first instance, this can be done by calling into the main office at the Training Centre. You can also call or email us. We also have a Complaints, Comments and Compliments Policy
