Off-the-job log

You must record your off-the-job training every week. This is done at the end of the training day at the Training Centre.  Check out the instructions on the off-the-job page.

Tripartite progress reviews

You will receive frequent tripartite progress reviews throughout your apprenticeship.

These are held between you, your employer and your trainer.  They are a formal requirement of being an apprentice. They are held to support you and ensure you are successful.

These will review your progress and previous targets in all all areas of the apprenticeship, how well your skills, knowledge and behaviours are developing and set new targets. They will also review your off-the-job training plan to ensure it is happening atwork and at the Training Centre.

Absences
  • You should follow your company’s policy and report an absence as required by your employer.
  • Please contact us on 01653 697698 to record the reason for your absence from your lessons.
  • Poor attendance and lateness to the Training Centre will be dealt with in line with your company’s disciplinary procedure.
  • If your personal circumstances change during your apprenticeship (pregnancy, accident, illness etc,) and this results in a long term absence from work, we can agree a break from your learning on condition that you fully intend to return and complete your apprenticeship.
  • Please inform us as soon as possible if you leave your job and move to a different employer, so we can consider the best way to move forward and provide some advice about continuing your apprenticeship.
  • If your employer tells us that you have left the company, we will endeavour to contact you to discuss your continuation on the programme.
