Based in Escrick near York, ProSpeed/FALKN are looking to take on an enthusiastic apprentice to join their fabrication department.

Job Description:

As an Apprentice Fabricator at ProSpeed / FALKN, you will support the fabrication team in the manufacture, modification, and assembly of automotive components. Working alongside experienced fabricators, you will develop practical skills in metalworking, and welding while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Day-to-Day Duties:

  • Assisting with the cutting, shaping, and preparation of metal components using hand and power tools.
  • Supporting the fabrication and assembly of vehicle parts and chassis components.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment, including the care and storage of tools and equipment.
  • Reading and following engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical specifications.
  • Learning and applying welding, fabrication, and finishing techniques under supervision.
Qualifications Required:

All applicants must have achieved a minimum of 4 GCSEs (9-4 / A*-C) including English and Maths.

Qualifications Gained(upon completion):

Level 3 Metal Fabricator Apprenticeship Standard which includes the Level 3 Diploma in Engineering Technologies as its qualification element.

You will also have the opportunity to build a long-term career within a growing and ambitious company. As the business continues to expand, successful apprentices can progress into skilled Fabricator, Welder, Vehicle Build Technician, or Specialist Engineering roles, taking on greater responsibility and working on increasingly complex projects.
