The Apprentice Service Technician role at Cirrus Research Plc in Hunmanby involves assisting the Service Manager and Service Technicians with daily operations. The apprentice will participate in training sessions to develop technical skills and knowledge, engage in continuous learning about service and calibration processes, and support in-house service, repair, and calibration of equipment. The role also includes ensuring test equipment is calibrated and maintained according to procedures, and assisting in identifying and resolving product quality issues

Job Description:

Day to day duties will include:

  • Assist the Service Manager and Service Technicians in daily operations.
  • Participate in training sessions to develop technical skills and knowledge.
  • Engage in continuous learning to understand service and calibration processes.
  • Service and Calibration Support
  • Assist in performing in-house Service, Repair and Calibration of equipment.
  • Help ensure test equipment is calibrated and maintained according to procedures.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving product quality issues.
Qualifications Required:

The candidate must have at least 4 GCSE's at grade 4 or above including English and Maths.

Personal Qualities:
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Interest in learning about Service, Repair and calibration processes.
  • Basic understanding of engineering principles.

Qualifications Gained(upon completion):

Level 3 Mechatronics Maintenance Technician Standard (Which contains the Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering)
