Job Description:

Supporting the production departments in ensuring all mould tools are fit for purpose.

Roles and responsibilities include:

  • Fault finding/ repairs to production tooling
  • Manufacturing of replacement components
  • Welding (TIG)
  • Routine preventative maintenance to production tooling
  • Fault finding and repairs to the Hot Runner systems fitted to tools

This role involves working with injection moulding tools which can involve lots of lifting and working with items covered with oil.

Qualifications Required:

Applicants must have at least 4 GCSE's at C or above or 4-9 particularly in Maths, English & Science

  • An interest in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and high-pressured environment

  • Ability to manage own workload independently
Qualifications Gained(upon completion):

Upon completion you will complete the Machining Technician Level 3 Standard which will include a level 3 Extended Diploma in Machining qualification.

The candidate would become a Toolmaker

£7.30 per hour
Weekly Hours:
37.5 hrs (Mon - 8.30am - 4.30pm, Fri 8.00am - 1.30pm)
