Role Summary

The Site Engineer supports all business functions and staff to ensure smooth and efficient production, safe working environments and site security. This is a varied role with no two days being the same. This valuable member of staff is willing to be hard working, inquisitive and trustworthy. Working alone or as part of a team is important in this role.

Job Description:

Day to day duties will include:

Attend breakdowns and site issues and achieve high level of “Fix first time”.
Co-ordinate with various departments to ensure the smooth operation of production processes.
Identify and highlight continuous process improvements.
Ensure all site areas are safe and fit for purpose.
Build strong relationships with colleagues, suppliers, contractors and stake holders.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to strategic planning and decision making.
Work collaboratively with all colleagues, including Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Production, NPD, Logistics, Finance, People and Technical teams.
Undertake training and personal development as required.
Ensure compliance with Company policies, procedures and all Government, regulatory processes and legal requirements.
Undertake all appropriate training and skills development as necessary to be successful in your role.
Provide absence cover for the Operations Manager
As with everyone at The Original Baker, remain flexible about responsibilities and tasks as needed to ensure business continuity.
Any other duties as reasonably required.

Qualifications Required:

All applicants must have achieved a minimum of 4 GCSE's (9-4 / A*-C). Including Maths and English at Grade 4 or above.

Qualifications Gained(upon completion):

Level 3 Mechatronics Maintenance Technician Standard (Which contains the Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering)
