Role Summary 

The Site Engineer supports all business functions and staff to ensure smooth and efficient production, safe working environments and site security. This is a varied role with no two days being the same. This valuable member of staff is willing to be hard working, inquisitive and trustworthy. Working alone or as part of a team is important in this role. 

Job Description:

Day to day duties will include:

  • Attend breakdowns and site issues and achieve high level of “Fix first time”. 
  • Co-ordinate with various departments to ensure the smooth operation of production processes. 
  • Identify and highlight continuous process improvements. 
  • Ensure all site areas are safe and fit for purpose. 
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues, suppliers, contractors and stake holders. 
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to strategic planning and decision making. 
  • Work collaboratively with all colleagues, including Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Production, NPD, Logistics, Finance, People and Technical teams. 
  • Undertake training and personal development as required.  
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies, procedures and all Government, regulatory processes and legal requirements. 
  • Undertake all appropriate training and skills development as necessary to be successful in your role. 
  • Provide absence cover for the Operations Manager  
  • As with everyone at The Original Baker, remain flexible about responsibilities and tasks as needed to ensure business continuity.  
  • Any other duties as reasonably required. 
Qualifications Required:

All applicants must have achieved a minimum of 4 GCSE's (9-4 / A*-C). Including Maths and English at Grade 4 or above.

Qualifications Gained(upon completion):

Level 3 Mechatronics Maintenance Technician Standard (Which contains the Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering)
