Job Description:

As an Engineering Apprentice you will work as part of a dedicated, driven and supportive team, as your skills and knowledge develop over time, you will get involved in all aspects of engineering and your responsibility will increase overtime giving you the confidence to grow.

You will be required to attend Derwent Training to study your Level 3 apprenticeship fully funded by the employer.  Normal week would consist of - one day a week at Derwent Training and four days at place of work.  The apprenticeship is 4 years.

Qualifications Required:

We recommend that all applicants have achieved, or be working towards achieving a minimum of 4 GCSE's (A*-C / 9-4) in English, Maths and Science or equivalent.

Personal Qualities:

  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to plan workloads effectively to meet deadlines
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Attention to details, commitment and the ability to accept resonsibility are key on this role

Skills Required:

The ideal candidate should be a well organised person who is able to deal calmly with day to day breakdown issues whilst, at the same time, seeing the big picture and planning for new preventative maintenance activities and projects.

Qualifications Gained(upon completion):

Engineering Technician Level 3 Standard - Mechatronic Technician Pathway
