Following the Government's announcment, and the supporting evidence at the weekend we are increasing our Covid-Secure measures.

Derwent Training will remain open, and we will continue to adhere to the risk assessments that are reviewed and updated regularly. We are continuing to maintain low occupancy levels, staff and learners adhere to social distancing, hand sanitisers are available around the building, temperature scans on arrival, staff wearing face coverings, and adhering to the one-way system around the centre.

Scientific evidence that has been presented clearly shows that the age group attending Derwent Training is increasingly contracting the virus, and therefore can be spreading it. With this evidence, from Monday 9th November learners must wear a face covering whilst in the centre. This includes during lessons and exams, when undertaking practical work and when walking around the building. Staff will also be wearing face coverings, unless in the office areas alone.

Everyone now has a face covering as a matter of course when they leave home. We will not be supplying learners with face coverings; they should be considered part of their own PPE which they should bring to the centre. Without one, learners will not be allowed in the building.

Please email the Business Support Team on with any questions.

A reminder to all learners that Assessment Week will be taking place on w/c Monday 9th November. No learners will be attending Derwent Training during this week. Your Assessor will visit you in the workplace to undertake reviews and observations.
