AVT Pumps with the support of McCain Foods have kindly donated some equipment to help train the next generation of engineers.

Congratulations to Samantha Magowan of Dale Power Solutions who won the Stellar Apprentice Award at the Star Women in Business Awards which was held at the Scarborough Spa on Friday 12th April 2019. 

Samantha's Award is very well deserved; she started her Higher Apprenticeship in 2016 after completing her A-Levels and is working towards becoming  fully qualified Electrical/Electronic Engineer. She has worked hard to promote Apprenticeships as a great route into a career and is enthusiastic in getting more girls in engineering. 

DTA are extremely proud to have had another apprentice recognised for their achievements during their programme. 

Sam Richardson was named as a Finalist at the GTA England Apprentice of the Year Awards in the Best Newcomer Engineering/Construction category. 

DTA's Exploring Engineering Event on Tuesday 5th March as part of National Apprenticeship Week.

William Hare are holding an Open Evening at their factory in Scarborough on Monday 18th March 2019.

In Partnership with NYBEP DTA are holding a Meet the Employer Session on Wednesday 23rd January 2019 | 4.30pm - 7.00pm to be held at Derwent Training Association, Hertford Way, York Road Industrial Park, Malton, YO17 6YG.

All at DTA are  proud of Barley Gillespie of Sylatech, Kirkbymoorside who has been named as a Finalist for Young Apprentice. Barley has recently completed his Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering and has worked incredibly hard throughout his programme. Alongside DTA, he has supported a Ryedale School careers event for the last 4 years' to share his experience to young people of where he was an ex-student. Barley was also recently promoted to Chargehand at Sylatech before completing his Apprenticeship.
