Derwent Training Staff speaking to Visitors
Derwent Training were pleased to welcome over 40 visitors to the training centre on Wednesday 5th February to celebrate National Apprenticeship Week.
Derwent Training will be supporting National Apprenticeship Week by welcoming visitors to their training facilities in Malton.
On Wednesday 5th February visitors will be able to speak to employers and their apprentices about what an Apprenticeship is really like, have a look around the specialist engineering training facilities as well as receiving guidance if they wish to sign up to opportunities on the evening. There's no need to book - just drop in any time between 4:30pm and 6:30pm.
Derwent Training will close for the Christmas Break on Friday 20th December at 12pm and will reopen on Monday 6th January 2020.
Learners will attend w/c Monday 6th January on their normal attendance day.
Derwent Training Association would like to congratulate Samantha Magowan of Dale Power Solutions, Scarborough who has won the Mary George Memorial Price at the IET Young Woman Engineer of the Year Awards.
The Award which was presented by TV Presenter, Sandi Toksvig, is for a young female apprentice who shows great potential in the profession and is tipped to be one of tomorrow's leaders in the industry.
DTA are pleased to welcome two new members on to our Board of Directors; CEO of SEMTA Ann Watson and Steve Pearson of Autohorn Fleet Services.
Ann Watson is CEO of SEMTA which is the Awarding Body for the EAL qualification that enginering apprentices study as part of their apprenticeship programme. You can read more about Ann here :- https://semta.org.uk/annwatson
